Companion Card for Sports Facilities
The Companion Card is intended to support physical activity for people who are unable to use sports facilities independently. The card improves the accessibility of the sports services provided by the city for everyone.
If you consistently need assistance when engaging in physical activity, you can obtain a Companion Card. The holder of a Companion Card is entitled to bring one assistant free of charge to sports facilities, such as a gym or a swimming hall.
The Companion Card is accepted at the following facilities:
- Raahela Sports Hall
- Vesipekka Swimming and Fitness Centre
- Raahe Sports Hall.

If you need a Companion Card, complete the Companion Card application form. Submit the application together with its attachments to Vesipekka Swimming and Fitness Centre.

The Companion Card is intended for persons with a long-term illness or severe disability who reside in the Raahe sub-region (Raahe, Pyhäjoki, Siikajoki).
The application must include a statement regarding the need for an assistant from a physician, nurse, physiotherapist, or another appropriate healthcare professional.
The Companion Card is valid for three years from the date of issue. The card is not valid for paid events or events organized by sports clubs.
